Richard is a two-year-old boy who, thanks to Caritas Czech Republic and the World Food Programme in Zambia, participated in the important Maternal, Infant and Young Child Nutrition (MYCIN) and Growth, Monitoring and Promotion (GMP) programme that benefits his entire community and help him recover from Malnutrition.

But my family could not afford the school," twenty-seven-year-old Sigiro, a refugee from Rwanda, tells us in a Zambian hospital. “Caritas Czech Republic helped me secure a scholarship and today I am a doctor," Sigiro continues happily. Pumulo now owns a grocery business thanks to Caritas Czech Republic

For many women in the rural part of Western Province of Zambia who are facing economic challenges, opening a business that requires huge capital is a far-fetched dream. Thanks to Caritas Czech Republic for introducing the “Savings for Change”, Pumulo Akombelwa now owns a grocery business and is able to pay school fees for her children.
